I'm a clinical psychologist working with anxiety, depression, stress, emotional / behavioural dysregulation, shame and trauma. As a queer man, I have a passion for working with the LGBTIQA+ community. I work to create a shared understanding of their current patterns of behaviour and experiences from an attachment, trauma-informed, and developmental lens to heal the parts of themselves that get in the way of them living a meaningful life. I work with people to build up the healthy parts of themselves, learn to ask for their needs to be met and to cope with the difficulties that inevitably arise as part of life and relationships.
I am a registered Advanced Schema Therapist. Although I am also Attachment, ACT and CBT trained, Schema Therapy allows me to support people in understanding their current life patterns from the lens of their early life experiences. This helps us work together to create opportunities to improve peoples lives and relationships.
I am not overly clinical in my communication! I believe that it is important to be myself and genuine as part of the therapeutic process. I strive to embody the parts of myself that support connection in all my relationships in life such as empathy, openness, curiosity and playfulness.
