About
My ideal client is intrigued by attending therapy sessions outdoors and in nature. They know nature is a big part of their self-care, but struggle to integrate it into their lives in a meaningful way. They may be stressed, anxious, or depressed, or simply feeling lost. Their painful thoughts, feelings, past experiences, and patterns of behaviour are interfering with their path. They would like a supportive therapist to walk alongside them as they figure it out; someone to provide some nudges of direction and new skills, but also trust them to use their internal resources and personal values to guide their way.
I provide high-quality clinical psychology services, outside. I merge evidence-based psychological therapies with the therapeutic value of nature; using nature and hiking to help people better connect with themselves and their bodies, build values-driven goals, and integrate these into meaningful change in their lives. Medicare rebates available.
If taking sessions outdoors sounds good to you, please get in touch. I work across all sorts of patches of nature in the Perth Metro Area (think Kings Park, trails in the hills, the Canning and Swan River). Are you ready to embark?

Lara Bertolino's Groups
Integration Hiking Group
Liminal Place runs a hiking group in the Perth Hills for likeminded individuals who want to slow down, and connect with nature, themselves, and others. It's not therapy and it's open beyond Lara's clients. The hike is usually about 4 or 5 hours and follows a 3-part mini rite-of-passage format; including 1) preparation and intention setting, 2) The journey itself and 3) integration: integrating the experience into life moving forward. Price includes morning tea, coffee, and snacks on the trail. Please be aware that the group is organised by a shared WhatsAp chat group.
