At Kooyoora, we understand that reaching out for counselling can feel like a significant step. Our counselling service provides a safe, respectful and confidential space where you can talk through what is happening in your life and receive practical, evidence-informed support.
Our service is delivered by Rachel Drysdale, an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with experience supporting people through stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, workplace concerns, life transitions and the impact of past or present adversity. Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a Mental Health Care Plan.
Our counselling approach is warm, collaborative and grounded in a humanistic framework. This means you will be met as a whole person, not a problem to be fixed. Sessions are tailored to your needs and may draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
