I have a compassionate and non-judgmental approach and work in a collaborative way to build trust and safety. I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and have worked with people with diverse mental health needs in public, private and NGO services over the last seven years. I work with third wave CBT and Gestalt Therapy approaches to help clients find the skills to manage more effectively with difficult thoughts and emotions; improve relationships; face challenges and solve other problems in life.
I am experienced in supporting people with anxiety, depression and emotion regulation; addictions, including substances and process addictions; problems with relationships; and issues relating to 'self', including self-esteem, ‘stuckness’, existential issues and life purpose. I also have experience with forensic mental health and psychosis.
I am a therapist and fellow human being. I too experience the beauty and challenges of life and draw on my experience (which brings my heart closer to those of my clients) and my professional training in evidence-based mindfulness and compassion focused therapies to support you in what you need.
