Children do well when they can. So do parents! If you're stuck in overwhelm and want to pull apart what is actually going on for your child, yourself or your family I can help you tap into your calm and inner wisdom. If googling, books, podcasts and other sources of information aren't giving you the answers, maybe it's time to find some clarity and tap into your inner wisdom. It is in there. You can help your child when you work out what they (and you need most), what's getting in the way and making life harder than what it needs to be.
My current focus is on helping your child, and you as a parent, solve problems around two of the basics of good health - walking and sleep. They are foundational to good mental health. We will work together on this using strategies including awareness and acceptance of thoughts and feelings, anxiety reduction, and healthy habit creation.
Parenting is a tough job. It's harder when your child cant' sleep! Burnout, short tempers, poor communication, frustration, the list goes on. My early experiences with sleep, or lack of it, in my children lead to a thesis on maternal sleep deprivation. The impact is real. If you have a child who can't sleep, I'd love to help you.
