It's OK to feel daunted by the prospect of counselling; sessions with me will be collaborative and will go at your own pace. There will be no judgment, you won't have to talk about anything that feels too painful until you are ready and I will not tell you what to do. Sometimes people think they have to be “crazy” or have mental health issues, or have experienced a severe trauma to see a therapist. My response is, if it’s important to you, then it’s worth talking about with someone. It doesn’t matter how small you think the issue is, talking about it can help.
I trained in integrative counselling and psychotherapy, meaning that I can draw upon different modalities depending on the needs of the client. I am experienced in working with trauma such as domestic and family violence and sexual assault, as well as with gender and sexual identity issues. I also provide relationship counselling.
I am skilled at providing an impartial, objective and non-judgmental space to empower you to work out the best solutions to problems in your life, relationships or work. I consider it a privilege to be trusted with people's most intimate thoughts and feelings and treat them with the respect they deserve. I exclusively work online via Zoom.
