Kate’s expertise is with children demonstrating behavioural or mental health difficulties. Additionally working alongside parents and caregivers who are struggling with the throws of raising children, helping them to develop insight and skills and to turn tough moments into opportunities for growth. She also enjoys working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, complex trauma, PTSD, grief and loss and relationship difficulties. Kate offers supervision to qualified social workers and students completing postgraduate studies.
Kate is trained in a range of evidence based modalities including schema therapy, EMDR, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) narrative therapy and dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). She draws from neurobiological, family systems, psychodynamic and attachment theory principles.
Central to Kate’s work is understanding the relationships we have with ourselves and others in order to fulfil our greatest potential.
