I'm Karina, a warm and dedicated Registered Psychologist with over 18 years of experience supporting children (from age 3), teenagers, and adults across a wide range of life challenges.
My approach is empathic, non-judgmental, and deeply personal — because I believe that feeling truly heard and understood is the foundation of all meaningful change.
I work with each person as a whole — not just a diagnosis or a presenting problem.
I have completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
an evidence-based therapy recognized worldwide for treating trauma among other issues. My practice also draws on CBT, Mindfulness, and attachment-focused approaches grounded in neuroscience. I incorporate parent focused programs such as Tuning into Kids, Circle of Security.
I am bilingual in English and Spanish, and I am passionate about offering culturally
sensitive, inclusive care — especially for families from Spanish-speaking and diverse cultural backgrounds who may have found it difficult to access support that truly understands them. You don't have to have the right words. You just have to reach out.
