Towers Counselling is a creative & personal service which now specialises with children aged 5 to 12. I have over 30 years of experience with children and teenagers as a teacher. I am a clinical level counsellor & psychotherapist with 14 years of experience with clients from vulnerable backgrounds. I currently work in private practice. Children under the NDIS scheme who are self and plan-managed are able to access sessions. I am also an approved counsellor with Victims Services. Counselling for 22 hours or more can be applied for without a gap fee.
Sessions can be booked in Crown Street, where a kitchen for art therapy with children is available! Other activities include board games, role play, writing stories and play therapy. Making children feel welcome is the first step towards understanding their feelings. Counselling is "disguised" with fun activities, so that children will want to return.
Towers Counselling has published an exciting new children’s book which is different to other books. "Helpful Tips For Being a Kid" is from children, to help other children who are going through difficult times in their lives. It is available to purchase online and in store at The Sensory Studio in Fairy Meadow, Wollongong.
