Hi I'm Karen! I am a clinical psychologist with over 30 years experience. I'm very passionate about empowering people to realise their true potential. I'm here to guide you to go beyond your thoughts and to discover your true self and the light that shines within you. While traditional psychology deals with the mind, my approach looks at the person as a whole, taking into consideration mind, body and breath. I use a client centred approach to therapy which is integrative and empirically based.
My therapeutic approach is formulated on the unique needs of each client. I assess each person on their individual situation and draw on the most clinically appropriate tools to meet that particular person’s needs. My approach includes CBT, ACT, Interpersonal Therapy, Positive Psychology, Compassion Focused Therapy, EMDR as well as Yoga Therapy.
