Hello, I'm Kalinda.
I am an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and I offer trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ and neuro-affirming therapy to adults across Australia.
I work with folks navigating mental health, existential anxiety, complex trauma, sexual assault, domestic violence, post traumatic stress, systemic harm, identity exploration, grief and burnout.
As a Social Worker, I hold a systems approach, recognising that we are all part of broader, wider networks of connection, power, privilege and discrimination.
I can offer Medicare rebate if you have a mental health care plan.
In general, my style is grounded, empathic and intuitive.
I do however adapt my approach according to your needs and goals, for example if you prefer structure or interactive resources or the inclusion of somatic (body-based) or art therapies (for example intuitive drawing) I will incorporate these approaches.
We know that many of life's challenges include forms of harm that damage our trust in ourselves and in others. I believe the counselling space is where this harm can be safely explored, to relearn and experience respectful, consenting repair to the relational wound.
