I am a Clinical Psychologist and trained EMDR therapist who works with people experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety, low mood, and difficulties stemming from stressful or traumatic life experiences. I provide EMDR, and DBT-informed therapy to older adolescents and adults with difficulties regulating their emotions and behaviours, often where there have been traumatic events in their background. I am formally trained in a number of evidence-based therapies, including EMDR, Attachment-Informed EMDR, Schema Therapy, and DBT (for adults and adolescents). I hold full membership with ACPA and EMDRAA.
I am dedicated to providing attachment- and trauma-informed care, and I practice with authenticity, warmth, and a dose of gentle humour. What this means for my clients is that I focus on promoting safety, collaboration, and empowerment in the therapeutic relationship from the moment we begin working together to the moment we say goodbye.
I have worked across various settings over the years in both the public and private sector. This has included working in comprehensive DBT programs at several private hospitals in metropolitan Melbourne providing individual and group therapy, in Victorian public adult mental health, and in private practice.
