Joelle will be on extended leave from June 2024 and is not currently taking new referrals. Getting to hear and know my clients’ stories is an incredible privilege. I see therapy as a partnership, where we work as a team to get you to where you want to be. Offering my clients hope and restoration even in the midst of the most difficult seasons is one of my greatest joys. I have worked in hospital inpatient and community settings, universities and in various private practice settings. When I am not seeing clients, I enjoy training and supervising clinicians in treatment of eating disorders through my role at the InsideOut Institute.
My special interest areas are eating disorders, mood issues such as depression, trauma and complex trauma, anxiety and OCD. I utilise a range of evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, tailored to the individual and their goals.
I know it can feel daunting to see a psychologist, so it’s really important to me that my clients feel safe and accepted whatever their reason for coming to therapy may be. I offer a free 15 min phone call to answer any questions you may have.
