About
After my journey of adversity, grief, loss & marginalisation, I uncovered the brain & nervous system's response to stress and distress. Through my experience of how 'repeatedly talking 'about' an issue (or challenge) didn't serve me, I specialised in non-verbal body-based modalities. I am an expert in invoking creative expression and building strength and resourcing through imagination and somatic practices. Sensory bottom-up awareness grounds us in the tumultuous inner world and tides us over hurdles in the outer context. Whether you are young or old, new to therapy or have been in therapy before, I can adapt my process to meet YOU
My therapeutic style is open, warm & collaborative. You can bring all of you to me in your inner and outer world. I offer you a truthful presence & affirming voice to OWN your body, mind, gender, identity and relationship. As someone straddling multiple identities, including a parent, racial minority, migrant and female. I AM your ALLY.
Through in-search and practice, I have discovered the critical role of somatic anchors, creativity, spontaneity and imagination for mental health & emotional well-being. Most people assume that intensive work happens when you see a talk therapist, I can assure you that the most transformative healing occurs while engaging our curiosity, imagination & play.
