Finding the right fit with a psychologist is not only important, but sometimes daunting. My name is Jase, and I opened Psychology in Balance with the vision of creating a space where clients can be well understood and motivated to become the best version of themselves - for themselves. I work with couples and individuals across a range of issues, focusing on anxiety disorders, complex trauma, relationship issues, ADHD, acute stress, emotional burnout, attachment-related injuries, difficulties managing emotions, and struggles with lack of meaning or purpose in life. My practice is LGBTQIA+ informed and welcoming to all individuals.
I work with individuals exploring faith, belief systems, or spiritual identity, including those facing existential angst or crises of self. Using evidence-based therapies like CBT, ACT, EMDR, and IFS, I tailor my approach to meet each client’s needs. I've worked with the Department of Veteran Affairs, Liverpool Hospital and several years in private practice
My lens is influenced by Eastern philosophy, in that I believe developing a compassionate relationship with oneself and feeling connected to the world around is essential. In my downtime I'm either being a dad to a very energetic border collie, perusing the inner-west café culture, diving into albums and books, or planning the next solo getaway.
