I am a Social Worker and Therapist with 30 years experience working with individuals, couples and families. I offer a mix of practical strategies and deeper exploration of your feelings and experiences. I am particularly interested in the emotions and beliefs we hold that get us stuck in problematic and repetitive patterns of relating. By becoming aware of these patterns and understanding them, we can step out of conflict and rebuild connection and intimacy. This process leads to deep and sustained change.
My approach moves away from blame and criticism, instead focusing on compassion, acceptance and how to repair connections and relationships. I listen empathically and hold you gently and patiently throughout this process.
I also have lived experience of physical disability. I can offer counselling services to NDIS self managed and plan managed participants. My aim is to support you to achieve your NDIS plan goals and build your physical, emotional and mental capacity.
