I am an experienced private practice psychologist and as such I am practiced in addressing a wide variety of concerns and psychological problems. I am a psychodynamic psychologist which means that I am very interested in exploring how early experiences impact on an individual's functioning in their current circumstances. I have worked with many people experiencing depression and anxiety as well as other mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, OCD, GAD, PTSD and many others. I also have a special interest in relationships throughout the life span including the first relationship between mother and infant.
My expertise is in forming a safe therapeutic framework, within which a person can experience validation and normalisation of themselves and their perceptions. I have training in various therapeutic models including psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential psychotherapy and cognitive behavioural therapy. I also have training in EMDR, Schema therapy and DBT
