| Italiano Sandra is an experienced bilingual clinical psychologist who sees different people from all walks of life, as circumstances bring many of us to therapy at different points or phases in life and for a variety of reasons. Sandra’s therapy setting provides a caring, not judgemental, supportive space where people can feel safe to express themselves and their inner feelings and where the person can have the experience to feel held in an accepting, respectful and empathetic way. This catharsis provides the individual with a freedom to unburden, relax and try to find a new stable foundation for a more fulfilling future and experiences.
Sandra’s uses a number of evidence based therapies and tailors them to the people’s specific needs. She favours a psychodynamic framework, to get to the origins of possible dysfunctional patterns with the aim of improving self-understanding and growth. This deeper understanding will provide the base for reaching general satisfaction and sense of fulfilment.
Sandra offers sessions in English, Italian and (basic) Spanish (can understand it, but she's rusty speaking it). Extended office hours are available and clients may be eligible for a rebate of $131.65 per session, if they have a Mental Health Care Plan, for a total of 10 sessions in 2023.
