I am a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years' experience in full-time practice. Earlier in my career, I was the Head of Clinical Practice at The Cairnmillar Institute, and a senior psychologist in public mental health. I work with adults and adolescents with a range of issues detailed below. I have particular expertise in working with trauma, abuse and post-traumatic stress, anxiety and depression, complex difficulties, especially in relationships with others, and gender and sexuality issues. My approach is to work with you at your pace as your treatment unfolds over time.
I provide psychoanalytic treatment. This can involve working through your problems, assisting you to pursue what you want in your life, and developing new ways of relating to yourself and others, such that you can live your life differently. I provide a non-judgmental and confidential space in which to discuss your concerns, and how to best work together.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Master of Psychology (Clinical) and a PhD. My fees are on a sliding scale. I also provide supervision to colleagues and students, have lectured in psychoanalytic therapy to clinical Masters students, and delivered Board-approved supervisor training.
