Iris is a registered psychologist with a client-centred approach to therapy. She is passionate about understanding individuals’ experiences, and working collaboratively with her clients towards healing and growth. She is a non-judgemental therapist with a warm interpersonal style. Iris is an LGBTQIA+ affirmative and aware clinician.
Iris has experience working with adults and adolescents in private practice, community health, school and university settings. She uses a variety of evidenced-based therapeutic approaches, working collaboratively with her clients to tailor the process to their needs and preferences.
Through her Master’s research Iris examined the use of creative writing practices to facilitate positive psychological change following trauma, known as post-traumatic growth. She has a particular interest in the use of writing to support personal development and therapeutic work.
