Iris is a registered psychologist who is passionate about helping clients improve their psychological health and wellbeing. Iris is experienced in working with people from all walks of life, in a range of settings including public hospitals, universities, not for profit organisations and private practice. She can provide treatment for a broad range of presenting issues, and has a special interest in anxiety, depression, disordered eating and chronic pain. Iris also works frequently with clients struggling to adjust to stressful life changes, pre and post-natal mental health issues and identity issues.
Iris is a client centered psychologist drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy. .
Iris believes that establishing a strong therapeutic alliance is crucial in achieving good therapy outcomes. She is interested in hearing people’s stories hoping to fully understand where clients are coming from, engage with them and support them.
