Hi. I'm Kylie Di Battista and I am a Counselling and Clinical Psychologist with over two decades of experience. I provide counselling for a wide range psychological challenges including anxiety, depression, panic attacks and relationship problems. During sessions I aim to offer strategies to manage the immediate difficulties, and also to address the issues underlying a current problem which may arise from family conflict, a low sense of self-esteem or intergenerational trauma. Often clients present during times of life transition, such as new parenthood or relationship breakdown, which can be portals to enormous transformation.
I work in a non-judgemental and client-centred framework where the counselling relationship is a collaborative process. My work is holistic and evidence-based. Central to my approach is the therapeutic dialogue through which relationship patterns, uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, and unhelpful life patterns can all be explored in a non-judgemental way.
All services and courses at Inner Balance Psychology are evidence-based and are informed by research and knowledge drawing from a wide range of modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness based cognitive therapy, neuroscience, family systems theory and attachment theory.
