Ingrid has a particular interest in relationship therapy and specialises in working with couples, as well as individuals facing distress. Ingrid works collaboratively with her clients to build on strengths, unlock stuck emotions and develop skills to improve overall wellbeing. Through counselling, both individuals and couples can reduce distress, enhance coping, and increase insight to strengthen their relationships. Once the trust and closeness build in the relationship, real transformation begins to occur as new patterns of relating are consolidated.
Each session with Ingrid is tailored to meet the client’s personal therapeutic needs. Ingrid incorporates many contemporary counselling models into her practice including Mindfulness based therapy, Attachment Based Emotion Focused Therapy, Trauma informed therapy, Internal Family Systems model & Systemic Family & Couples Therapy.
Ingrid is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker & has training in Emotion Focused, Attachment Based Couples therapy. Ingrid currently works within a major public hospital as well as managing her own private practice. Ingrid is located in COBURG. Currently a wait list for new referrals. Hours: Wed & Sat.
