My name is Johan Torsteinsrud, and my private practice is called Human Puzzles. I am a Sydney-based professional counsellor with over six years of experience in helping people from all walks of life find their way through life’s many challenges. My counselling sessions are mainly conducted online, either via Zoom or over the phone. This provides a convenient and safe way for people to access support without the added stress of travelling to an office. I strive to create a safe space for all genders, races, cultures, bodies, sexual orientations, family constellations, and relationships.
I understand that each person is unique, and I take an integrative approach to therapy, using a mix of techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-Centred Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Goal Setting, Gestalt Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Existential Therapy, Mindfulness-based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Creative Therapy.
Reaching out for help can be a daunting experience, and I aim to make the process as comfortable as possible. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other issue, I am here to help. With my experience, training, and dedication to my clients, we can work together to find the puzzle pieces to fit your unique puzzle.
