As a registered play therapist, I am passionate about enabling children to reach their full potential and assisting them to develop resilience, self-esteem and a sense of self via the power of play. I have been involved with helping individuals and families all my working life within roles both in Australia and England, including positions in schools, not for profit agencies and private practice. I have a playroom in Daylesford, Victoria equipped with toys and resources to enable children to express themselves through the power of play and without the need for words. I develop a safe, secure and non-judgemental relationship which allows the child to freely explore and process any issues they may be experiencing including trauma, anxiety and grief.
I understand that each child’s journey is unique and that children are best supported when their parents and carers are included in the therapeutic process in association with their school and other professionals involved.
