Hello! My name is Helen and I am a General Psychologist. I have worked in the mental health space for over ten years and have experience with PTSD, Complex trauma, attachment difficulties, mood instabilities, sensory sensitivities, relationships, attention-difficulties, self-esteem and burnout. I am a warm and attuned, and work from a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens. I enjoy meeting and learning about people, and together, finding out what could help improve one's quality of life. I am gentle, open-minded, reflective and non-directive. I enjoy working with both male and female adults.
I can help by offering a welcoming space for you to share, acknowledging that you are the expert of your life, chiming in to offer you educational insights, and support you in making connections to different parts of your life. I have a strong interest in relationship dynamics, trauma, anxiety, self-worth, and cultural and societal expectations.
I welcome anyone who needs help or wants support to reach me. You are always welcome to come to counselling no matter what mood, state, or position you are in. The process of understanding how you make decisions is ongoing, and you can always continue to learn and grow.
