I am a trauma-focussed psychologist with advanced training in Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR); I am accredited by the EMDR Association of Australia as both a practitioner and supervisor for EMDR therapy, and thus you can have confidence in the quality of service you get from me! I am a therapist with deep care, warmth, respect and hope for everyone I work with. I am passionate about going beyond helping you simply cope with your difficulties, and rather, want to assist you in addressing the underlying issues and traumas that contribute. My ultimate goal is to help you genuinely heal, recover, grow and thrive.
My area of interest is psychological trauma; I have extensive, advanced training in trauma and EMDR. This means I can help you recover from adult traumas whether it be a car accident, assault, traumatic birth or infidelity, or more complex trauma such as childhood abuse/neglect. As a registered psychologist I can also help with a broad range of other issues.
Research has shown that the therapeutic relationship is the strongest predictor of therapeutic success. It is my priority to ensure you feel safe, heard and respected during your time with me. I strive to be an authentic, genuine and thoughtful clinician, and create a sense of safety where we can gently explore, and find healing within your internal world.
