I work with adult clients experiencing complex trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties, identity conflicts, grief and loss. I treat people of all genders, but have a special interest in men’s psychological struggles. My clients tend to appreciate that psychological growth involves more than 'strategies', and that self-discovery, self-insight and self-acceptance lie at the heart of each healing journey. They expect to be challenged as well as supported, and to be guided by an experienced, insightful, and compassionate therapist who is able to hold and contain whatever distress they bring.
I am a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, with more than 30 years’ experience. Psychotherapy should be flexibly tailored to each person’s unique experiences and difficulties. I have deep respect for clients’ complexity and potential for change. My therapeutic approach is informed by the interpersonal, attachment, and psychodynamic traditions.
