It can be difficult to reach out and seek help... the first step is often the hardest. To gain the most out of the therapy process it can be helpful to be motivated and committed to wanting something in your life/ relationships/ self/ circumstance or situation to be different. This helps you to stay clear about what you want to get out of the counselling process and stay focussed on your goals for change.
I have always been curious about people, how they relate to others and how their relationships impact on their mental health and wellbeing. Over 24 years of practice I have been helping Individuals, couples , young people and families to navigate the universal themes and challenges of being 'human' .
Sometimes it can be helpful to have a non judgmental space to explore your thoughts and feelings with someone who is outside of your 'support system' to gain clarity, awareness of self and discover options of ways to manage better. These may include ways to manage anxiety, depression, stress, grief, relationships, parenting, identity and chronic illness.
