Along with the usual mental health challenges, people living in rural areas face fires, drought, difficulty accessing help, and having to adapt to seasonal and fluctuating job markets. Having lived in regional and rural areas all my life, I have seen the difficulties up close. Being tough and self-reliant may be prized in the country, but sometimes it’s just not enough. Whether you’re dealing with a significant loss or trauma, low mood, anxiety, substance use issues, or just want some balance in your life, I can help.
It’s hard to replace a warm, genuine in-person conversation, especially one you don’t have to drive half a day to find. I offer psychotherapy in various Adelaide Hills and Barossa locations, as well as Telehealth. Working rurally requires a generalist approach, and the therapy I apply has strong evidence for a wide range of difficulties.
