I am a registered child-centered play therapist (PTPA) and registered Early Childhood Teacher (VIT). I work from a trauma-informed, neuro-affirming approach and I work closely with families, offering them support and parenting strategies. I offer weekly play therapy sessions to children aged between 3 and 10 years old at Thrive Therapies Centre in Macleod.
Play Therapy is an evidence-based approach that provides children with the opportunity to express their emotions safely through play and work towards resolving difficulties. The benefits of play therapy include enhanced emotional expression; improved behaviour; trauma healing; development of coping skills and increased self-esteem.
Play Therapy supports children who are experiencing challenges with: emotional regulation, behaviour, difficulty with social and play skills, anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, ASD, selective mutism, family separation, grief, loss, or trauma.

Fees: $190 for both private clients and NDIS clients per session. Each weekly session is inclusive of a 45min session and 15mins set up/note taking. Play Therapy is not covered by a Mental Health Care Plan unless it is provided by a registered Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker.
