I am a queer and nonbinary clinical psychologist with a background in providing trauma-informed, neurodivergent-affirming, person-centred therapies. Belonging to groups that are outside the mainstream of society, can add a lot of additional burden - and psychological therapy is not always set up to take an intersectional approach to understanding your issues. At all times, I want to celebrate your unique identity and not apply a one-size-fits-most response to support you.
I have, however, also recently trained in EMDR and am looking forward to meeting clients who may be specifically seeking this model of care.
I am attempting to address some imbalances in accessibility, so as well as exclusively working with LGBTQIA+ community clients, I prioritise First Nations people, those living with disability, and rural/remote folk. Reach out for a chat to see if we're a good fit.
In addition to offering therapy, I offer supervision to psychologists, counsellors, and clinical psychology registrars to meet their qualification requirements. As a supervisor I also value working with those who experience minority stress within our industry, though it is not a requirement that all supervisees belong to the LGBTQIA+ community.
