I work with an extensive variety of clients with differing presenting factors from complex trauma, sexual abuse, clients experiencing domestic and intimate partner violence and work with people who use violence against loved ones. Clients are wanting to be heard and seen in my counselling room, to untangle the jumbled thoughts feelings and behaviours they experience, to make sense of their world and build a stronger sense of identity.
I help clients reengage with their sense of self through deepening their emotional regulation, working with trauma informed practices and somatic body based work, I help clients reframe their world view and rebuild a more secure attachment, to enhance interpersonal relationships and rebuild a greater understanding of who they are.
I understand the complexities of life and traumatic experiences. I believe my clients are the expert in their life and work to build safety, respect and support to help my clients gain a greater sense of self and personal control with their emotional experiences. I am empathetic and caring and help clients understand who they are and want to be.
