I began my career as a lived experience worker within Qld Health over 15years ago and so I understand first hand the challenges that can come from navigating the mental health systems and accessing appropriate supports, particularly when unwell. My own lived experience of chronic ill mental health has heavily influenced my career and the way I engage with those I support. I whole heartedly believe that while we can have very similar experiences, the way those experiences impact and shape us are completely different and so too is the journey to mental wellbeing.
I am able to offer complex report writing for court or NDIS in addition domestic violence perpetrator mapping through the use of domestic violence informed Safe and Together model which can be used to support family court applications and cases. As an addition, I also provide functional capacity assessments utilising the Allen's model of cognitive function.
My area's of interest including parenting and parental capacity building, chronic and complex mental health, addictions and relapse prevention planning and recovery coaching underpinned by a harm reduction, safer use philosophy.
I look forward to working alongside you on your therapy journey
