There are so many different reasons people have for wanting to seek therapy, and it can be daunting to look for help. My approach is warm and empathic. I like to work collaboratively with clients to explore what has been troubling you, to gain insights together as to what contributes to these feelings and where your difficulties may have stemmed from. My work is supportive, confidential and consistent. Ultimately, I hope to work with you to enable you to live a fuller, happier life that feels more satisfying to you.
My work is psychodynamic, and I see adolescents through to the elderly. Some of the reasons that people want to work with me is that rather than just treating your symptoms, I work with you to understand the causes of pain and difficulties, which can lead you to a position of choice about how you want to move forward in your life.
I offer free initial phone consultations of 10-15 minutes in order that you can let me know what it is you are wanting, and to make sure I am the in the best position to offer you the support you need. It also gives you the opportunity to hear my voice and get an initial sense of what it might be like to come and speak with me.
