Families, couples and individuals seek my services because they want help to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, they want to understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths and make useful changes in their relationships and their lives. My clients often comment that my sessions have provided them an opportunity to reflect on themselves and how they interact in their relationships which helps them understand their own behaviours better, thus finding ways forward - either as an individual or as a couple and family.

Deciding to seek support is a big step, and I'd like to make it easier for you. I have a wide range of experience across different life stages. I've worked as an NDIS psychologist and behaviour specialist, in schools within the Department of Education, delivered outreach psychological services in aged care, and offered private psychological services to adults. This experience enables me to tackle a wide range of issues, from anxiety and depression to more complex developmental and psychological conditions. Additionally, I have a special interest in working with men and couples.

I am a psychoanalyst and clinical psychologist in Fremantle consulting with adults, adolescents and children presenting with a wide range of mental health issues. I teach at the Lacan Circle of Australia and have postgraduate training in clinical psychology and psychoanalytic studies. For over a decade I have worked in outpatient clinics, the community mental health sector and in private practice both in the USA and Australia. Additionally, I have an extensive research portfolio in psychoanalysis and clinical psychology.

Matt is a Clinical Psychologist with 19 years’ experience assisting individuals & families to reach their personal goals and potential. He is genuine and straightforward in his approach as he supports his clients through difficult periods and onto meaningful personal change. Matt is person-centred and flexible and aims to maintain trust and comfort with his clients. He believes that assisting people to gain insight into their unique personal history allows them greater understanding and resolution of their current difficulties. Matt has a genuine interest in journeying with people to find their strengths & overcome their challenges.

Working with people across the lifespan, from children through to adults and older persons, I can provide a unique contribution to the mental health space in a holistic approach. As a compassionate and experienced psychologist, I work with children and adults, understanding school learning disorders, supporting young people in navigating conflicts and relationship issues, assisting with parenting challenges understanding loss and grief and overcoming the specific challenges you seek to overcome in the present and those from the past. I focus on building self-esteem and autonomy and empowering clients to make real change. In therapy, we will work together to break invisible chains, internalised maladaptive perceptions and expectations and silence debilitating inner voices to bring improved quality of life.

As a mature person I have the benefit of my own life experience as well as my many years of professional practice that I can draw upon. This has enabled me to help many people to improve the quality of their lives and their relationships and to cope with and overcome the traumas and challenges that life eventually presents to all of us.
