Elaine is a caring and compassionate Psychologist with a depth of experience and treatment focus in the following areas: anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), childhood abuse, complex trauma, grief and loss, separated parenting, couples counselling, adjustment issues, and low self-esteem. Elaine believes that everyone has the innate capacity to heal themselves with the right kind of support. She sees her role as working together with clients to help them find their equilibrium, reconnect them to their strengths and their capacity for a stronger sense of self and improved wellbeing.
Elaine provides evidence-based integrative treatment that focuses on the unique needs of each individual. Elaine's treatment approaches include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and Gottman Method Couples Therapy. Elaine is also a qualified Art Therapist and creativity coach.
