I am a Counsellor & Psychotherapist, Level 3 Trained in Gottman Method Couples Therapy & a Certified TRTP Practitioner (Richards Trauma Process). I have over 20 years experience in providing effective therapeutic support to individual adults and couples. My areas of expertise include Women's Health, Relationship Issues, Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Trauma, Grief & Self-esteem. I work Mon-Thurs from 10am-7pm. My after-hours appointments are fully booked with no availability & my daytime ones 3-6 weeks ahead. I work online via Zoom. Medicare rebates are not available for my Counselling services but some private health rebates are.
I have an Honours degree in both Counselling and Psychotherapy and use an integrative, client-centred approach including: Gottman Method Couples Therapy with aspects of Emotionally-Focused Therapy with couples, The Richards Trauma Process (TRTP) for trauma based issues, Mindfulness-Based Therapy and Psychodynamic Psychotherapy. Sessions are online via Zoom.
I provide a safe, collaborative, nonjudgmental environment and respect the diverse life experience of each individual. I tailor counselling to meet people’s unique needs and goals and am passionate about empowering them to make genuine and long-lasting positive change. I have just completed writing a book about the important role of Women in Irish Mythology.
