Dave works with the LGBTQIA+ community and is the Director of Q Psychology with clinics in St Kilda, Carlton, and Geelong. Dave has a particularly interest in issues related to trauma, attachment, self-worth/self-esteem, substance-related issues, and relationship problems and was named Australian Psychologist of the Year in 2023. Dave is an accredited Advanced Schema Therapist and EMDR certified, but also draws on CBT, ACT, and clinical hypnosis. Dave is also available for WPATH assessments. As of August 2025 Dave will be commencing paternity leave and therefore is unable to take on new therapy clients.
Dave has an adaptive and authentic approach to therapy. He draws on various therapeutic approaches, including Schema Therapy, ACT, CBT, motivational interviewing, couples counselling, and clinical hypnotherapy.
