Faith doesn't need to be left at the counselling door. In fact, many therapeutic approaches have much in common with the insights of Christian faith and theology. If faith is an important part of your life, I can thoughtfully integrate Christian theology and spirituality into counselling while drawing on evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
With a Master of Theological Studies, 5 years of seminary formation, and 8 years of experience in university and school chaplaincy, I can engage thoughtfully with both the psychological and spiritual dimensions of what you are experiencing, while respecting your own beliefs, values and goals.
I work with people experiencing relationship difficulties, shame, self-worth struggles, unwanted behaviours, anxiety, stress, burnout and major life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting men who are struggling in their relationships, finding it difficult to set healthy boundaries feeling weighed down by shame or self-doubt.
While I have a particular interest in supporting men and in integrating Christian faith with counselling, I welcome people of all backgrounds and beliefs.
