I am Mental Health Social Worker accredited with the Australian Association of Social Workers with over 16 years of experience providing therapy and counselling to people experiencing mental health difficulties. I support both adolescents and adults to explore and work through a range of difficulties, for example: anxiety, depression, excessive anger, guilt, psychological trauma, grief and loss and relationship difficulties. Committed to providing a safe, confidential, and contained place to enable people to explore their inner world, my goal is to help people to resolve or better manage their problems and achieve self-acceptance.
I offer an initial assessment and then develop a individualised plan to assist people to better manage their goals. Subsequent sessions are focused on assisting people to better understand themselves, to manage and overcome their difficulties and distress. I am client centred in my practice which is also evidence based and draws on psychoanalytic thinking.
I believe that therapy can be a transformative experience that enables people to achieve a greater understanding, peace, connection and health.
