I am passionate about working with young people to develop their self knowledge, and the skills and strategies to facilitate empowerment and positive change. I am committed to working with adults seeking ways to respond to their children’s needs, and their own, to maintain healthy relationships and foster personal growth.
I'm an experienced educator, and counsellor, with in-depth knowledge of all aspects of the management and support of young people with additional learning needs, from a broad range of backgrounds and contexts. I have an interest and training in motivation and a proven ability to develop relationships with children, young people, parents, and teachers.
Much of my work is focused on teenagers and young adults, and their families. I understand that adolescence can be an exciting time, but it is also a period of immense change. Young people can struggle to understand and accept themselves. They can find it difficult to find their place in the world. As adults, we can struggle to know how to help them.
