Hi. I’m Colleen Nicholas. I’m an Art Therapist, Sandtray Therapist, Interactive Drawing Therapist and Counsellor. I offer expressive therapies in addition to talk therapy, because sometimes words are not enough. It can be difficult to find words to express what we are thinking, feeling or experiencing. Sometimes we are not aware of the “real issue” that’s causing our distress.
Art and Sandtray are ways of communicating non-verbally. Images help us to visualise our thoughts and feelings and the unconscious becomes conscious. The therapist helps you to explore the meaning of your artwork or sand world and, through therapy, find resolution and healing.
I work with children, adolescents and adults. Whether you’re looking for short-term counselling or medium to long-term therapy, I’m here to help.
