Hi, I’m Colin Longworth, a Psychologist with weekday, evening and Saturday morning consultations, for a range of presenting issues. I'm registered for Medicare, Telehealth and NDIS. I’ve been a registered Psychologist since 2008. You can book online 24/7. (I've also been a volunteer phone counselor since 1981.) I studied Psychology in my later years. (My first 2 jobs were Blue-Collar.) As such I have a combination of over a half century of life experience along with my Psychology training and ongoing professional development, to bring to my role as Psychologist, Coach, Counselor and or Clinical Hypnotherapist (whichever applies).
Apart from more "mainstream" issues and clients, (the majority) I’ve also worked in a few “challenging” settings, like Domestic Violence (offenders) and co-facilitated an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) program in a Prison Farm setting. I am also experienced in working with Lesbian Gay and Bisexual clients, as well as being a member of the LGB community.
As a result of my training and my wide range of workplace and other life experience, I’ve found clients report, we can develop a good working relationship (in a confidential setting). Clients range in age from 16 years old to those in their 80’s and 90’s. They also like that I will often suggest relevant books to read or movies to watch, to assist them.
