I see psychotherapy as a collaborative journey of self discovery that can lead you to a more engaged and meaningful life. As we are all unique and complex beings, each of us will do this differently. Whether you feel stressed, overwhelmed, angry or depressed about some part of your life, as a therapist I will listen deeply, and hear what you say. Together, through our gentle conversations, we can find insights into your situation and identify the choices that are available to lead you to a better place. In my experience we all have the capacity to heal and grow in a caring and supportive environment.
I work with people struggling with a range of life issues including stress, anxiety, loss of direction, body, identity and cultural issues, low self esteem, creativity issues, grief and loss, difficult relationships, depression, life transitions, childhood trauma, specific and general concerns for people in the LGBTIQ+ community and more.
It takes courage to begin counselling, to articulate your deepest thoughts and feelings to a therapist you don't know. I understand you may feel uncertain and vulnerable. For this reason it's important we are a good fit to take this important journey together. Please feel free to contact me, without obligation, and in confidence, if you have any questions.
