Most of us want to gain insight into the difficulties that limit our lives, find strength and peace and develop a more meaningful approach in life. Feelings of emptiness and meaninglessness, grief and loss, spiritual questioning, entrenched patterns of behaviour, self image, creativity issues, self sabotage, early, midlife and late life transitioning - these are just a few difficulties which can cause considerable psychological suffering and pain. Emotional suffering destroys our contentment with and in life.
As a Jungian psychotherapist I offer the opportunity to work on and explore unconscious patterns of behaviour or complexes. Insight is gained by considering expressions of the unconscious, such as dreams and images ie through works of art. Finding meaning is closely connected to the process and the individual involved. No one process is the same.
Providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment in which emotions, feelings or images can be explored, lies at the heart of my work. I am deeply respectful of psychological processes that can unfold and as they unfold, together, we gain awareness of entrenched patterns of behaviour and find a way through.
