Emma at Chadash Counselling provides general, trauma, youth and/or Christian counselling.
While Emma uses an integrative approach to address each client’s individual goals and needs, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) is the primary therapeutic modality used.
EFT is an evidence-based therapy that uses experiential interventions to address presenting concerns by focusing on core painful emotions that are often difficult to transform through reason or logic alone. By increasing emotional awareness, supporting healthy emotional expression, and engaging in experiential processing, EFT facilitates meaningful transformation.
Emma has experience working in crisis support, trauma therapy, AOD and the youth space using a range of approaches including Emotion-Focused Therapy, Imagery Rescripting, DBT Skills and elements of CBT.
Emma has a Master of Counselling and receives fortnightly supervision from a Clinical Psychologist accredited in Emotion-Focused Therapy.
