BACP (British Association Counsellors and Psychotherapists) accredited. I believe in truly listening to and helping to guide people according to their individual personal history and journey with an emphasis on non-judgement, building strengths and responding empathically. I have worked with a wide range of issues including people affected by adoption (I have lived experience as an adoptee and worked with, and continue to support, a large number of adoptees), anxiety, depression, couples counselling, schizophrenia, addiction and trauma.
I work from a trauma based, acceptance position with specialism in supporting people affected by adoption, (identity, belonging, grief, loss, attachment) mental health and supporting trans and poly clients. I look forward to standing with you on your journey and I offer an hour free introductory video or audio call with no obligation.
The foundation of effective counselling is a supportive relationship where people feel seen, heard, understood and respected. This is a springboard to guiding people towards re-framing their experiences whilst managing difficult feelings.
