I support clients with a variety of presentations and referrals to enhance their overall lifestyle satisfaction and wellbeing. These range from anxiety and depressive symptoms, to self esteem and other more significantly deeply rooted psychological impairment, such as trauma. My clients are driven and motivated to create positive change in their lives by adopting proactive strategies, along with lowering their protective mechanisms to explore challenges which have had significant impacts on their wellbeing and functioning.
I'm a friendly and compassionate psychologist with a strong passion for supporting/enhancing people, specifically children, adolescents, trauma history and those with diagnosed disabilities. I use humour (when appropriate) and a light hearted approach to assessment and intervention to build strong therapeutic relationships, allowing greater client outcomes.
I am a strong listener and very empathic, allowing me to put myself in my clients challenging situation. As such, I put a lot of emphasis on a strong therapeutic relationship/alliance as the basis for therapeutic intervention. I do not rush sessions, and listen to the clients needs, whether they be explicitly mentioned or identified as important for growth.
