I have a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental approach to counselling and aim to work together with clients to develop insight and facilitate positive change. I take a multi-faceted approach to meet the needs of my clients, drawing on the resources of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Eye Movement Densitisation Reprocessing (EMDR). My approach to counselling is to work with my clients to empower them to overcome obstacles and develop resilience.
I see adult clients under Medicare Better Access arrangements (with a referral from your GP), as well as those funded by TAC, WorkCover and VOCAT.
I have experience working in the prison system with offenders, as well as in the tertiary sector providing student counselling. Now in private practice, I assist clients facing a range of issues including mood and anxiety disorders, grief, stress and sleep difficulties. I welcome clients from the LGBTIQ+ community and value inclusivity and acceptance.
